Although this product may help prevent a child from getting into cabinets and some appliances, it should not replace proper adult supervision. Read the manufacturer's instructions before you attach the Safety 1st Custom Fit all Purpose Strap. The Safety 1st Custom Fit All Purpose Strap may be used on cabinets, entertainment centers, and some appliances. It should not replace proper adult supervision. This product should NOT be used on stoves, ovens, doors, or windows. Once you have decided where to attach the adjustable custom fit strap, clean the surface and let it dry before placing the strap onto the surface. Adjust the length of the strap to the size you want and snap it into the grooves on the plastic piece that is not attached to the strap. Make sure the strap is the length you desire before snapping it into the grooves securely. Once you have snapped the strap in place, the strap cannot be moved again. Remove the paper backing from the back of each of the plastic pieces and press the sticky side firmly to hold it in place. For best results, leave the Safety 1st Custom Fit All Purpose Strap unlocked for 24 hours so the adhesive tape can properly stick to the surface. To open the Custom Fit All Purpose Strap, press the two gray buttons in with your thumb and finger and pull the strap apart. To close the Custom Fit All Purpose strap, push the strap back in until it snaps shut.
