Text of Video: If you’re a parent, there’s one thing you’ve learned - kids can and will get into anything and everything – and that includes every cabinet and drawer in the house. Each latch comes in two pieces – the “catch,” which is the small rectangular piece that will attach to the cabinet frame, and the “latch,” the long, ridged piece that will attach to the inside of the cabinet door. They’re easy for adults to use and install (all you’ll need is a Philips screwdriver). Here’s how to put them to use in your home: Attach the positioning tape, which comes with the latches, to the mounting surface of both the catch and the latch. Do not remove the upside of the positioning tape at this time. Position the catch one inch from the inside edge of the cabinet frame and mark the position. Now remove the positioning tape backing from the catch and adhere it to the marked position. Position the latch on the cabinet door so it will connect to the catch when the door is roughly an inch and a half from the cabinet frame and mark the position. Remove the positioning tape backing from the latch and adhere it to the marked position. Check to make sure the alignment of the catch and the latch is correct and secure each piece with the provided screws. The drawer or cabinet door will open only about one and a half inches before the catch will stop the latch. Press down the latch with your finger to fully open the door or drawer. If you prefer, the latch and catch can be mounted on the sides of cabinets and drawers. Please remember that this product is only a deterrent and not a substitute for adult supervision.
